Taha is an experienced Islamic Banker looking to bring to our clients his depth and breadth of experience in Sovereign & Bank Coverage, Origination, Treasury Structuring, Islamic Capital Markets, & ALM, including operational expertise. He is a multicultural-savvy leader with international experience. He worked for HSBC, ADIB, EIB, and IILM prior to his role as CEO of CSF Tayyib.
Taha holds a BA from the American Business School, Paris, France & MBA from IESE Business School, Barcelona, Spain. He speaks English, Arabic, & French.

Mr. Razi Fakih is based in Kuala Lumpur. He is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is a senior Islamic banking professional with over 25 years of experience and an accomplished track record of success in the industry. He is recognised thought leader in the area of Islamic Finance with leading roles at HSBC Amanah and Bank Al Bilad. Mr. Razi has been with HSBC for over 12 years in different roles. He is one of the founding members of HSBC Amanah (the Islamic arm of HSBC Bank).

Ajmal Bhatty is based in Dubai. He is CS Financial's senior expert in insurance and Takaful. He is a pioneer in developing insurance and Takaful practices in the Islamic world. He advised the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI) and the Islamic Financial Board (IFSB) on Takaful and its governance. He worked with Insurance and Takaful Regulators in the UK, Bahrain, Brunei and Malaysia, and advised the Islamic Development Bank and Bank Negara Malaysia to develop and promote Takaful in OIC members.

Dr. Ahmad Khalid Hatam is a Judge in the Virtual Shariah Court (Vcourt) and a PhD (Islamic law and Jurisprudence) holder from the International Islamic University Islamabad. He has taught at IIUI and has worked at its research wing—the Islamic Research Institute—where he worked under the supervision of the renowned Islamic scholar Dr. Zafar Ishaq Ansari. He has worked on the “Nature of Relations between Muslims and non-Muslims: Revisiting the Discourse of Mawdudi and Qaradawi” as thesis for his PhD.
Moreover, Hatam serves as Trainer Arbitrator at Afghanistan Center for Commercial Disputes Resolution (ACRD), Member ADR Commission of International Chamber of Commerce - Afghanistan (ICC Afghanistan); Shariah Board Member of the Islamic Bank of Afghanistan (formerly, Bakhtar Bank); Dean Faculty of Social Sciences at Kardan University Kabul and consultant to various national and international organizations.

Shoaib A. Rahim is a development practitioner, researcher and assistant Professor of Economics. He has earned an MBA degree in Finance from Institute of Management Sciences, Pakistan and an MSc degree in Development Economics from University of Sussex, England. He is a regular contributor in the press on economics and has been regularly writing about national issues including national budgets, financial sector reforms, and monetary policies. His work has been published in English, Hindi, Pashto, Dari and Russian languages.
His experience in financial sector includes development of Public Private Partnership (PPP) guidelines, market studies, and capital markets.

Dr. Aznan Hasan is a world renowned scholar. He is an Associate Professor in Shariah at Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance (IIiBF), IIUM and the former Head of Islamic Law Department, Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws, International Islamic University Malaysia. He is currently the President, Association of Shariah Advisors in Islamic Finance (ASAS). Currently, he serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director, Hong Leong MISG Takaful Berhad. He is also the Deputy Chairman, Shariah Advisory Council, Securities Commission of Malaysia. He is also a member, Shariah Advisory Council of AAOIFI, Bahrain.

Dr. Shamsurrahman Shams is a full time in-house Shariah advisor at CS Financial. He is a well known Afghan scholar teaching Islamic Fiqh at the Dawat university in Kabul (including Fiqhi Muamalat or transactional law). Dr. Shams has studied Shariah since young age at the Abu Hanifa School for Shariah Studies and then at Al Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt. He has been trained as a Mufti by training institute of Al Azhar. He received his PhD in Islamic studies from Peshawar University and his Masters in the same subject from Punjab University. He speaks English, Arabic, Persian, Pashto, and Urdu.

Dr. Abdulaziz Maruf is based in Dubai. He is CS Financial's senior expert in Takaful, Islamic finance, and training development. He teaching and running the Islamic finance degree program at Jumairah University in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He holds a PhD in Islamic banking and finance from the International Islamic University Malaysia. He currently teaches and runs the Islamic finance degree program at Jumairah University in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Mushtaq Ahmad Qazi is based in Dubai. He is CS Financial's legal counsel. He has an extensive experience in Islamic Banking and Finance especially product development, training and Shariah supervision, legal and Shariah risk management. Mr. Qazi takes care of our client's legal documentation requirements. Mr. Qazi got B.A. & LL.B. (HONS) Shariah and Law degrees from International Islamic University, Islamabad, Pakistan in 1999, followed by LL.M. (International Business Law) from the University of Hull, UK in 2001.

auhidur Rahman is a Risk Management professional with above 14 years of experience. He was the Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer (CRO) of Afghan United Bank. Prior to that, he was the pioneer CRO of Jaiz Bank Plc. Nigeria and helped in setting-up the first full-fledged Islamic Bank in West Africa as technical expert by IDB in partnership with Islami Bank Bangladesh. Mr. Tauhid has been the primer to introduce Enterprise Risk Management concept in Afghanistan Banking sector. He advised clients on Risk Management in West Africa, UAE, Bangladesh and Luxemburg.

Dr Shariq Nisar is currently working as Professor at Rizvi Institute of Management Studies and Research (RIMSR). In addition, he is founder and mentor of India’s first Centre for Alternative Finance at ITM Business School Kharghar. Prior to joining RIMSR Dr Shariq worked at the Harvard Law School, USA as Senior Visiting Fellow.
Dr Shariq spent over a decade and a half in the Indian finance industry developing financial products and services that aimed at improving financial inclusion and increased investment in socially responsible sectors. He made some seminal contributions to India’s financial sector by launching India’s first shariah index with the Bombay Stock Exchange, first mutual fund scheme and first venture capital scheme approved by the Indian capital market regulator, SEBI. He also played key role in the design and launch of Shariah Indexes at NSE, India and Chittagong Stock Exchange, Bangladesh. He was invited to make presentation before the Select Committee of Indian Parliament during the discussion on Insurance Amendment Bill 2015. Dr Shariq holds board positions at many companies.

Shahadat is economist at C-S Financial advising for its tax affairs, Islamic banking surveys' and the study of poverty reduction through Islamic finance. He holds MPhil Economics from the International Islamic University of Islamabad (Pakistan) and a Bachelors in Economics from the same university. Shahadat is fluent in English, Persian, Pashto, and Urdu.

Essa Yousafzai is an economist at C-S Financial. He is based in Kuala Lumpur advising on and conducting financial audit, assisting C-S Financial's tax and finance matters, and budget preparation. Essa has studied Economics and Global Business at University of Houston in the state of Texas. He also has a masters degree in Islamic finance from INCEIF. He has significant experience in the area of product development, consulting, administration and management.

Mohammad Fayaz is pursuing his MSc. Islamic Finance at INCEIF (International Centre for Education at Islamic Finance) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He has two years research experience at Orange Door Research Organization and one year as a data collection officer at OEDA (Organization for Economic Development of Afghanistan).
Mr. Fayaz is a graduate of Bachelor of Business administration from Kardan University in Kabul.
